This is everything I want for Tim for his birthday, you know? I’m just a sucker for seeing him happy. He’s lost so much and he’s been hurt so many times, and he was in a bad place for so, so long, he deserves to finally be happy. And it warms my heart when he actually gets to have that, which is all too rarely.

I ship Tim/happiness above anything else, really.

Especially after her talk about being happy in her new life - that it may even be better. That she doesn’t want to go back. It’s like forcing her to eat her words. And that just isn’t right. 

^ THIS. How hard is it to understand that Babs liked being Oracle? Sure, she missed being able to walk and use her legs in other ways, but being Batgirl? I honestly think she had zero interest in ever going back to being Batgirl. Seriously. NONE. She’d moved so far beyond that role, it’s ridiculous.

Also, sometimes after I’ve finished ranting about the million and one other ways that the reboot shafted characters I love, I remember that these two have had their entire romantic history erased. And then I just want to cry.

The only good thing about this is that Nightwing Annual #2 is no longer canon. That is literally the only good thing about any of this.
