Day 1 — Favorite Quote about Lois Lane
“When we first meet her, Lois Lane is already one of the greatest and most famous reporters in the world…she’s just that good, and she’s that good because (as is obvious even to those without X-Ray vision) her Hildy Johnson Front Page smartass attitude is about three angstroms thick, and beneath it is a woman of remarkable compassion.”—Mark Waid’s notes in Birthright
THIS IS ALSO MY FAVORITE LOIS LANE QUOTE.
This blog will be a Lois Lane blog until further notice.
AMEN to that!

Smallville is the show that made me fall in love with Lois and Clark, but Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman remains my all-time favorite adaptation.
Perfect Lois, right there. <3

#superman #clark kent #baby :(((( #you are so adorable and so precious and so gentle and so kind #why can’t they see that those are precisely the things that make us love you the most #sigh sigh
^ Ugh, THIS. He is such an inspiration.
Seriously, I can’t stand to see people sneering at how Superman’s idealism is unrealistic, or how he’s somehow less ‘cool’ than Batman because he’s not dark and ‘edgy’ enough.
Excuse you. You know what amazing? That we’ve actually gotten to the point where a superhero is sneered at for, y’know, acting like a hero. For being kind and warm-hearted and idealistic. You know why Clark is Superman? It’s not because of his powers. It’s because he is a freaking amazing person. Because he has possibly the purest and most deeply loving heart in the DC Universe, and the greatest moral strength. That’s what makes him who he is.
That’s what makes him the World’s Greatest Superhero.

Her name is Lois Lane. She is an army brat made good. Not even thirty and she’s already won her first Pulitzer. […] She’s comfortable interviewing the president in the White House… as she is filing from behind the enemy lines in Quraq. Let’s just say there is only one Lois Lane and leave it at that. As her best friend, he has seen her at her best and her worst. As Superman, he’s caught her in his arms while she suffered from hypothermia at 40,000 feet. As Clark Kent, he escorted her to the last royal wedding where she committed the international faux pas of looking better than the bride. No mater how many times he lays eyes on her… he’s always taken aback at the realization that Lois Lane is the most amazing woman he has ever met.

Oh Adrian :p
This never fails to crack me up.
Especially “No, that would be overkill”. As if everything else he just described isn’t. xD

Everlark book quotes
I’m still rather peeved that that first quote didn’t make it into the movie. CLASSIC. xD
Also, some of these others - like the second, the fifth, and the last especially - really highlight certain important themes in the story. Like the fact that Katniss and Peeta are constantly “playing to an audience”. And the way Katniss inspires people without even realizing it (and then learns to intentionally manipulate that as the series goes on).
*shrugs* I realize they couldn’t get everything in, but I would’ve liked to see some of these in the movie.
