Who was part of the teen titans when dick was around 15 or 16?
Wally, Garth, Donna, and Dick himself. Going by the original canon, Roy didn’t officially join the team until later (in Teen Titans #19), when Dick would have been more like 17. (However, he had been a guest star/part-time member on the team going back almost to the very beginning.) If you go by the Teen Titans: Year One canon, however, Roy was a Titan right from the start.
Despite this, Dick, Wally, Donna, Garth and Roy are generally considered the “original Titans”, even if you go by the version of canon where Roy joined the team slightly later than the others.

I miss this team ;_;, Teen Titans, where’s Starfire though?
Dick, Roy, Garth, Wally and Donna were the original five Teen Titans (a.k.a the Fab Five). They first teamed up in The Brave and the Bold in the 1960’s, and were featured in their own Teen Titans series starting in 1966.
It wasn’t until the advent of New Teen Titans (1980) that Starfire joined the team, along with Cyborg, Raven, and Beast Boy. So the fact that Kory is not in this picture makes perfect sense, as this depicts only the original five. You can also tell that this depicts the pre-NTT Titans by Donna’s costume - she’s wearing her original Wonder Girl costume here, while by the time of New Teen Titans she’d moved on to a more adult look, as seen here on the cover of New Teen Titans #1.

I always saw us as being rather like Dick/Donna too actually. It’s where I got the “true platonic love” part of our ship tag. Like, you KNOW if Dick and Donna had tumblrs they would totally have late-night lovefests like we do: “I LOVE YOU.” “I LOVE YOU MORE.” “NO SHUT UP YOU ARE ADORABLE.” “TITANS FOREVER!!” “UGH YOU ARE SO CUTE I WISH I COULD BE HUGGING YOU RIGHT NOW.” “RIGHT BACK AT YOU HON.” “DID I MENTION THAT I LOVE YOU??”
… I should write fanfic of this actually.
But basically we are EPIC PLATONIC LOVE and I am not even remotely surprised that this has inspired fanfiction. EVERYONE SHOULD SHIP US.
OMFG THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WE ARE. Oh GOD that is so beautiful. They would absolutely stay up all night obnoxiously blogging about how much they love each other and how perfect the other one is until Oracle’s patience snaps and she kickbans both of them. …from the internet. The whole thing.
She can do that all right.
Of COURSE she can. She is the Oracle. She OWNS THE WORLD, okay. ESPECIALLY the parts of it that are online. XD
And Roy would totally get annoyed and send them messages like “GOD, could you two even BE any more sappy, you’re driving me nuts. *eyeroll*” and Dick and Donna would be all “Aw! C’mon Roy, we love you too! YOU SHOULD JOIN IN OUR LOVEFEST.” “OOH! And get Wally and Garth while you’re at it and then we can have a FAB FIVE LOVEFEST YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO.” And Roy would just be all “You guys are making me nauseous.” But D&D would not even care because they would be too busy platonically squeeing over each other’s perfection and how much they adore each other.

WHYYYYY would you want to write this out of continuity, DC? WHY?!?!?!?!?!? I don’t understand you.
And why are THREE of these five characters no longer part of the DCU at all? Why is THAT, DC?
*deep breath* I will stop whining now and focus on the adorable amazingness. This is how I see these characters and their friendships, always. They were such a huge and integral part of each other’s lives, and the love and friendship between them will never, ever go away. I don’t even need to say anything more, because I think the (wonderful) dialogue here says it for me. Such a powerful moment, and I love the last image of all of them clasping hands.
This history is vital to each and every one of these characters, DC. You ignore that history, and you ignore a huge part of what makes them who they are.
